Seen & Heard: Putting Young People at the Centre of Change

This report captures the impact of the Seen & Heard programme, a youth-led initiative designed to bring young people together with decision-makers to shape the future of services and opportunities in their communities. Through open discussions, workshops and direct engagement, over 135 individuals came together to ensure that young voices are not only listened to, but acted upon in the delivery of the National Youth Strategy.

The findings are clear: young people want meaningful involvement, not token consultation. They want to feel safe, respected, and able to see real, tangible change as a result of their input. The programme highlights key priorities including better access to support, stronger relationships with trusted adults, and more inclusive, connected communities—setting a clear direction for future action and long-term impact.
