Blackpool Youth Pride 2026
United Youth Alliance’s Blackpool Youth Pride 2026 created a vibrant, inclusive space where LGBTQ+ young people could feel seen, celebrated and supported. Bringing together around 600 young people, the event celebrated queer joy, creativity and community, while creating opportunities for young people to have their voices heard.
Across the weekend, young people took part in a range of activities including a youth-led hackathon, podcasts, library takeovers, performances, sport, arts, crafts and wellbeing activities. The hackathon gave LGBTQ+ young people the opportunity to shape the development of an LGBTQ+ Quality Mark, helping influence how schools, youth organisations and sports teams can become more inclusive and welcoming.
The weekend also brought together local partners, community organisations, performers and vendors, with UYA leading the youth section of the Pride parade. Sunday provided a welcoming space for young people to be creative, active, inspired and connected, ensuring there was something for everyone and that every young person felt valued and included.
Blackpool Youth Pride 2026 was a powerful celebration of representation, belonging and unapologetic joy, made possible through the collaboration of young people, partners, volunteers and the wider community.
